Reading Festival 2027
Reading Festival 2027 runs from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August 2027 at Richfield Avenue, with campsites opening from Wednesday 25 August. The lineup is usually announced in the new year, with early ticket access for mailing list and app sign-ups opening first — check the official Reading Festival website for the latest on tickets and the lineup.
Why Stay With Us Instead of Camping
Not everyone wants three nights in a tent. Our budget hotel in Reading is a short drive from Richfield Avenue, giving you a proper bed, a hot shower, and somewhere secure to leave your things between festival days. Plenty of our guests over festival weekend are parents dropping off or picking up, or festival-goers who’d rather sleep somewhere comfortable and head to the site fresh each day.
Good to Know
Reading town centre and the roads around Richfield Avenue get busy over festival weekend, so if you’re driving in, allow extra time and expect some local road closures. Ample free parking is available at the hotel itself.
Reading Half Marathon 2027
The Reading Half Marathon 2027 takes place on Sunday 21 March 2027, with the main race starting at 10:15am. It’s one of the biggest half marathons in the UK, bringing thousands of runners and spectators into the town centre right on our doorstep.
The Route
It’s a single-lap, closed-road course starting at Green Park Business Park, looping past the University of Reading’s Whiteknights campus and the ruins of Reading Abbey, through the town centre, up Russell Street in West Reading, and finishing at Select Car Leasing Stadium, home of Reading Football Club.
Road Closures
As with every year, several roads in and around the town centre — including routes near the hotel — will be closed for parts of race day. Exact closure times and the full road closure map are published closer to the date on the official Reading Half Marathon website, so it’s worth checking before you set off if you’re driving in or out that morning.
