The Reading Half Marathon 2027 takes place on Sunday 21 March 2027, with the main race starting at 10:15am. It’s one of the biggest half marathons in the UK, bringing thousands of runners and spectators into the town centre right on our doorstep.

The Route

It’s a single-lap, closed-road course starting at Green Park Business Park, looping past the University of Reading’s Whiteknights campus and the ruins of Reading Abbey, through the town centre, up Russell Street in West Reading, and finishing at Select Car Leasing Stadium, home of Reading Football Club.

Road Closures

As with every year, several roads in and around the town centre — including routes near the hotel — will be closed for parts of race day. Exact closure times and the full road closure map are published closer to the date on the official Reading Half Marathon website, so it’s worth checking before you set off if you’re driving in or out that morning.
