The Sound Machine
If you like collecting records and you love your music you have to visit the Sound Machine when you stay in Reading. You can buy new or second-hand vinyl records and CDs. The sound machine is Reading’s longest established independent collectors record shop. Based in Reading town centre, one minute from Reading station. www.thesoundmachine.uk.com
RISC – Reading International Solidarity Centre
Home to one of UK’s largest fair trade and ethical shops. The world shops sells a large selection of unique craft, food, beverages, confectionery, household goods, toiletries, books and teaching resources. ‘But is it Art?’ has been trading in Reading for over 30 years and is very popular. It has featured in the Guardian’s independent shopping guide.
